P655 Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) Mission Control Complex
P655 Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) Mission Control Complex
Project summary :
We designed and built this new freestanding, two-story Mission Control Center with two shielded Mission Control Systems on the second floor; a Tactical Operations Center, with phased SCIF spaces, on the first floor; and numerous roof‐top mounted antennas.
The new building is designed and constructed to withstand 155 mph wind speed for enhanced hurricane protection and durability to address the 24/7 operation schedule. The project also involved interior renovations to an existing building—including a reconfigured command suite, systems reconfiguration, and, in some cases, finish upgrades.
New antenna infrastructure was constructed at a remote site south of the project site, including fiber routing to the remote antenna and to various buildings. We also demolished the existing parking area and replaced it with a new 111-space parking.
