Outbound Baggage Expansion, Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP)
Project summary :
The Panama City airport sought to expand its capacity and increase efficiency of its baggage handling by separating its outbound baggage handling area from its inbound side. This required building an entirely new baggage handling area while the airport was fully operational. The project involved construction of a steel structure with concrete masonry and metal stud infill walls, with interior and exterior finishes complimenting the the look and feel of the existing airport. masonry construction and a stucco finish system. In total, the concourse included five new gates, its own TSA security checkpoint, six different retail locations offering food, beverage, and other retail items, which opened in Fall 2022.
